Breaking The Glass ATX is back from a short hiatus and we’re excited to announce our next community event, happening on September 20th at WeWork University Park, 6pm – 8pm. That’s right; free garage parking and no downtown traffic this time!

This event will be all about your next career step – whatever and wherever that may be. For many women in tech, having a great mentor makes all the difference in developing a purposeful career with a clear sense of direction.

Janice Omadeke, CEO/Founder of The Mentor Method, will lead a conversation about the value of mentor/mentee relationships, followed by a “speed mentoring” workshop. You will get the opportunity to meet a handful of potential mentors and build your network in multiple 15 minute, one-on-one sessions. If a match makes sense, you two are welcome to exchange contact info and keep the convo going on your own!

This event will primarily benefit:

- Women in STEM/tech/digital who want to change direction or companies

- Women who work for tech/digital companies and are preparing to negotiate a promotion

- Women in junior positions or new graduates looking for opportunities in the tech industry – including sales!

***Space will be limited, so you must RSVP on Eventbrite to attend.

Mentors have been hand selected from the Breaking The Glass community. You may recognize a few as previous speakers or panelists from past events! Computer Futures recruiters will also be on hand for resume reviews and interview coaching sessions.

We’ll also hear from Corporate Development Executive of Girl Scouts of Central Texas, Misa Rojo, as she presents information about the 2019 Women of Distinction Awards and how you can get involved.

Light bites and drinks will be available in the beginning, so none of us are mingling on an empty stomach. Come right on time and make the most of this special workshop!

***Space will be limited, so you must RSVP on Eventbrite to attend.
